The Challenge Aztec Systems needed to track paper invoices electronically for smoother and faster access to accounting (accounts payable) information.

The Results Integrating Tablature with Microsoft Dynamics GP brought document imaging right to the forefront of the user experience. Instead of pulling physical hard copies from a remote file cabinet, invoices and other accounts payable records were available quickly. Tablature’s bar code feature seamlessly associated supporting documents with their respective accounts. In addition, Aztec’s accounting staff can now plan invoice processing based on the volume of paperwork. A single document can be given a bar code identifier, then the document can be immediately scanned into the system. When more documents accumulate prior to closing periods, they can be scanned and processed in a batch – for convenience.

Tablature™ is a lightweight, cost-effective tool for effective electronic document capture and indexing. It is easy to use and compliance driven: documents are stored and protected in a Microsoft® SQL database, strong audit logging tracks all events and changes, and documents can be encrypted in the repository.

Because Tablature is essentially a plug-n-play solution, implementation was fast and easy.
